North End and NoDa are experiencing transformative growth. Close to Uptown and powered by a surge of public and private capital, these neighborhoods have become some of the most exciting ground for new development in the city.
Together with our partners, Flywheel Group has assembled approximately 83 acres within the NoDa Greenway District—Charlotte’s first fusion of light-rail living and greenway connectivity in one of its most iconic, culturally rich neighborhoods.

NoDa’s creative pulse has made it a magnet for millennial growth and investment. Its walkable streets, thriving arts scene, and eclectic mix of restaurants, breweries, and venues have helped shape one of Charlotte’s most energized districts.
The Blue Line extension links, the NoDa Greenway District seamlessly to Uptown’s job core, UNC Charlotte’s expanding student population, and major residential and employment hubs across South Charlotte and University City.

The name Flywheel Group comes from the principle of a flywheel: modest energy at the start, then rapidly accelerating momentum that unlocks extraordinary potential. That idea defines our vision.
We bring ambitious design and development ideas together, driving innovative thinking to create communities that inspire, endure, and elevate the urban experience.

Founded in 2013, Flywheel Group set out to focus on urban, walkable, transit-oriented development—beginning with Charlotte’s rising North End and NoDa neighborhoods. With Charlotte’s unprecedented growth, a $1.2B light-rail extension, the planned Cross Charlotte Trail, and a flourishing arts district, North End and NoDa are among the most compelling places for our work.
